Piece of crap of an article. It says Merlino could look to Anthony Accetturo Jr., as muscle. The only problem is him and his father became informants nearly twenty years ago.

"Skinny" Joey Merlino is indefinitely a twenty-first century MTV mobster that enjoys the money, fame and women that comes with being a member of Philly mob, but this article seems stretched in truth and could be argued as an untrue and an unreliable source.

In my opinion, I personally can't fathom why Joey Merlino would ever stretch out to Anthony Accetturo Jr. for muscle. Merlino has always favored reputable and trusted South Philly neighborhood kids over anything else.

DUnno if this info is reliable. But I sure hope so. Always liked SKinnyJoey ever since I heard of the Philly Mob Conflicts.

He's the underdog ya root for. He doesn't seem like the type to stay outta the game for long.

If he does stay in S Florida and try to organize down there, there is plenty of white collar crime going on there from credit cards to real estate that he could make a mint off of and probably go unnoticed by the feds without using muscle or violence. Recently a philly weather guy got rolled in miami from the russians in a credit card scam they have set up down there

Problem is, Joey is not really the white collar crime kinda guy. More the stick a gun in your face or break your legs kinda guy.

Yeah this doesn't make sense to me.The guy has been out like 6-7 months and this rich connected guy is going to buy him a rolls royce and a million dollar home like he is some revered mafioso.My goodness they were hi-jacking trucks of baby formula and cheap watches in Philly.He never even paid his gambling debts.Like Ron Previte said Joey's goal on monday was to make it to tuesday.Joey just likes the attention,I doubt he will ever be able to live a 9-5 life.They always said South Florida was wide open but the russians who have a stonghold there in Hallendale control most of the rackets.You have to think a little in South Florida,you just can't get your boys like Ralphie ''Head''Abruzzi and hi-jack baby formula.

That's the thing with Joey Merlino, he is not much of a criminal to begin with, he has spent as much time in prison during his adult life as he has spent out of it. He was also never known to any kind of earner at all, his biggest claim to fame is knocking off an armored car for a couple hundred thousand. His earning ablities make Benjamin "Lefty" Ruggiero look like Matty The Horse.

I might have been wrong about Anthony Accetturo Jr., but I swore I've seen him on the list of rats. There is an article about him getting arrested for extorting a friend in the early 200's in Florida though.
