Okay, did ya'll get your ashes today? Yes, sir. Drove up to Westchester, took my Dad for ashes (and actually stayed for the whole Mass!), then took him for a nice lunch. A full day . I might stay for a benediction, but I don't think I could last a whole mass. I am on my way in ! To get my ashes, and give father some home made chicken noodle soup ! Good thing I turned Catholic, in years past saw the ashes on the forehead and asked if they wanted a kleenex ! ! Have a great night what is left !

I guess you can say his eyesight is pretty good! I saw that clip on the news the other night. The newscasters seemed to think there was a possibility that he might have been staring at her jewelry, but her reaction made it quite clear what she thought he was staring at! Signor V.

Ha ha! IF that's truly what this guy is staring at (and it sure looks like it), he sure isn't trying to hide the fact. Plus, it looked like Mary knew exactly where his eyes were and responded with class without saying a word. What an uncomfortable situation for her. TIS

In honor of George Harrison's birthday today, I remembered a funny thing that happened last Spring at my daughter's middle school.
I was picking her up from basketball one evening and while waiting, stopped in the auditorium where they were holding tryouts for the school talent show. I was impressed with a thin eighth grade boy, who played guitar and rendered an amazing acoustic version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." He got an enthusiastic ovation from the dozens of parents, students and onlookers.
From the desk at the stage were three moms, who were grading the performances. One of the women said into her microphone, "Now Sean, do you really think that song is appropriate for middle school?"
The boy looked nervous and confused, and everyone there was dumbfounded as well. She then said she objected to the language. When he still didn't respond, the pompous ass of a judge asked in a harsher tone, "Do you even know what the word 'perverted' means?"
He said it has several meanings. But she only knew one, and said the Beatles "actually did some songs that weren't objectionable." She asked that if he liked the group, he could audition another Beatle song.
In a couple of minutes he took the stage again and to my delight, and with gusto belted out the lyrics, "Why don't we do it in the Rooooad."
As it turns out the boy's family contacted the principal, who happily ruled that any Beatle song could be performed in the school show. I understand that he did Harrison's song as he had wanted.
Happy Birthday, George. You're still missed.

Agreed - a great story with a good ending! I'm very glad the boy got to do the song he wanted, and that the principal backed him.
I wonder if anyone recorded him and if he might turn up on YouTube? Sounds like his rendition would definitely be worth seeing (and hearing).

There is a report that Stephen Hawking has been frequenting a sex club in California. Seems he's not always preoccupied with black holes and the Big Bang. Then again, maybe he is. Ha ha ha!!! TIS

Ok, I had to look that up cause I never heard of it. My Latin is limited to the mass responses and hymns I learned when I was in Catholic school. So, I'll just say Dominus vobiscum And to Kly my Latin lawyer talk would be habeas corpus See, I'm fluent in Latin. TIS
