As far as I know this isn't a repost and it's also true. It's been said by Coppola during his commentary of the film. I would recommend seeing the films with Coppola's commentary. He very much wants to explain his thoughts on making the films and it's intruiging to listen to him. He's also remarkably critical about his films, but I believe he must be proud of them, especially the second one because that's really his film.
