NYC is safer because they have put a lot more people on food stamps(now 20% of City) so they're less likely to commit violent crimes.

Plus, the minority population is leaving NYC for Suffolk, Poconos, "Upstate" and being replaced by hipsters, or "model minorities" who are less likely to commit violent crimes, like Asians and Indians.
