Murder rate in philly right now is high like it was a few years ago. Its always high though but really bad so far this year. A murder a day basically this year but it doesn't matter who is on the streets for the mafia or how big or small they are, the murder rate would be no different. Its just the changing of the times and like merlino said its mainly the north and west of the city which the mob hasn't had any control of since the 70s basically if at all.
