Don't know Oli. Maybe it depends on how it's said and who says it? Yet, I must say I'll use the word freely if I feel it's applicable. LOL
I think most women will agree we have all known (and perhaps ourselves even been) bitches at some time or another. Heck I had a friend some years back who would proudly admit she was/could be "a bitch." Maybe the word is so commonplace that it no longer is as minimalizing as it once was. If someone angrily called me a bitch, I'd be mad whether it came from a man or a woman.
Interesting though. I'm curious how other ladies feel.

The producers of "House" have announced that after eight seasons, the series is ending its run. The FOX medical drama, featuring the cantankerous Gregory House played by British actor Hugh Laurie, will conclude in May after 177 episodes, the producers announced Wednesday.
HBO is showing "Heart & Souls" with Robert Downey Jr. I love this fun movie. I think Downey is really a great actor too. I was totally impressed with him in Chaplin but even in light comedy he is good.
Anyway it's been a while since I've seen the movie, and the mood is right I guess cause usually I'll pick a drama over comedy.
Btw, Downey is one of the celebs that survived his drug problems (at least to my knowledge he's clean & sober). Remember, among many other incidents when some woman found him sleeping in a bed in her house? Luckily the woman didn't press charges. Downey could have ended up like poor Whitney (and I guess I'm assuming cause of her death.)

I know... I don't watch CSI, either. There are already too many shows on my DVR list (most are on FOX)... it's hard to keep up!
I use to watch the CSIs all the time. Then I got sort of burnt out on it I guess. I was surprised to see Ted Danson is now in one of them.

Not really, because the show has really gone downhill the last season or two. I loved the show at one time, but the character has just become a parody of himself.
