I think DeMeo, psychopath that he was, cared for his son very much. This may have helped the Feds leverage him. Plus, crazy people are just plain unpredictable. And the guy was fucking pazzo.

ya I agree with you I just brought it up since I dont think anybody has asked that i know of and I also wondered if roy demeo didn't flip and was convicted would he have gotten the death penalty since his crew committed so many murders like Murder Inc
There was no death penalty on the books in NY State during his era. And the Feds haven't given the death penalty to a gangster since Lepke Buchalter, almost seventy years ago.
