Did just that. Also searched with a variety of other buzz words. Didn't find what you're talking about other than multiple references to pickpocketing and scams. One story of a murder commited by a gypsy in Naples in 2008. Four unrelated Gypsy males were beaten by Italians, one to death, in retaliation. A story of a Gypsy girl, also Naples in 2008, trying to steal a baby. A whole Gypsy camp set on fire and burnt to the ground in retaliation.
The most disturbing thing I found though....two young gypsy girls,12 yrs old, that had drowned in Naples, bodies laid on the beach for three hours while Italians lounged, ate lunch and tossed frisbees a few feet away.
I'm sure there's some truth to the rep Gypsies have but seems like it's way overblown. Also find it funny that a country with the mafia, camorra, ndrengheta, sacra unite and the amount of crime, including violent, commited by these groups (not to mention the amount of political corruption)focuses on pickpocketing gypsies as the nations woe.

Except for the fact that the vast majority of Italians were hard working productive members of society and the vast majority of gypsies are criminals. I`m not making this up either, go to google and type in Ìtalian Gypsies`and look at the stats. I`m not trying to be racist but we should be allowed to call a spade a spade. [/quote]
