Watched it last night, as a matter of fact. Thought it was hilarious. Loved Dennis Farina as Ray "Bones".

It was definitely a satire on Hollywood, not a mob pic. It was funny to see Gene Hackman play a total idiot tho.
BTW, don't you think Travolta would play a great straight-up mobster in a serious mafia movie? I wonder why he's never done it before?
