Oh yeahhh, baseball! That's the ticket! Sports in the sports section, huh? How was I supposed to know?
Can't wait, though. I turn over the TV to my roommate the entire off-season, so I hope she's ready to watch a lot of baseball come April!
And back off topic again - just have to do it - I thought of you, SB, in regard to your clown feelings. Twice, actually. First, I was outside a few nights ago after a big rainstorm, and I realized that whenever I hear water running through the drains outside, I almost always imagine Pennywise hiding below. Being as it was dark and I was alone out there, I did get a tad scared...
Gina's back! Hooray! You've been missed, as usual. How was school? My daughter missed Dean's List by .02! Her GPA was 3.48 for the semester, thanks to the damn A- her math professor gave her!

SB, your daughter will bump her GPA up in no time - and it's already a very good one!! With my usual procrastination, the last few weeks were stressful as always, but I've come to love that end-of-year insanity.
CS, Kyle Lohse pitched today. Did you and Mrs. CS enjoy the beat-down the Cards gave us?
Haven't been around much lately. I've missed you guys. Just a few updates on what's been keeping me busy:
- My fantasy team has been awful. Can't bear to look at another awful Ubaldo Jimenez stat line. I like the name Ubaldo.
- Graduating in a few weeks from business school. It's been nearly four years doing it in the part-time program and looking back, I think it's been well worth it in terms of growing my network and building my confidence. We'll see how it pans out as an investment.
- Work has been a bit slow, but I've been keeping myself busy by attending more networking events and generally meeting more people. Networking is not a natural talent for me, but I sure am getting a lot more practice lately so hopefully I'm getting better at it.
Gina - I saw a clip of Kyle Lohse the other day pretending to be LaRussa and I thought of you.
SB - thanks for the no-cootie-alert! I keep telling JG to get inoculated, but he's strangely proud of his cooties.

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation, DS! You should be very proud. My husband got his MS the same way, and it was a tough and torturous process, but well worth it.
Networking is hard for EVERYone, but you're right. The more you do it, the more at ease you will be in crowds.
Ubaldo IS a great name! The only other name I've heard that comes close is Irma Aklu. I have no idea who poor Irma was, but I saw her obituary in the paper years ago and her name has stuck with me.

See this is one of the things I love about the Ladies' Thread - getting to read your hilarious comments, SB!
CS, conga rats (stolen from SC) on your upcoming graduation! I can only imagine how much work you've put into that, and I'm sure it's wonderfully refreshing to almost be done. Your mention of networking reminds me of this new show on Comedy Central called "Workaholics." It has a pretty weird and disgusting style of humor to it (don't judge me for liking it! haha)... but check out the part from 6:50 to 7:25 on this episode - that's about how I expect myself to handle networking.
And as soon as I read your post, I rushed to Google the Lohse impersonation; it's so cool that I can count on you for fantasy updates!
For a "real" Ladies' Thread contribution, I'll post a video that's been out for awhile, but I was surprised to not find in a GBB search - have we actually not discussed the "Handsome Men's Club"?
Thanks for the rats, Gina! You can always count on me for fantasy updates. I'll make sure to check out that Workaholics show and you can be sure that I'll judge you for liking it.
Speaking of fantasy updates, to counter your Jimmy Kimmel video (which I always found hilarious), here was this year's Post-Oscars video:
And the sequel...

Gi, I have a secret - I love to read the obituaries. I find the names and stories fascinating. And I always try to figure out their cause of death. Usually you can tell by where the family wants the donations to go.
CS, is that video from your Jessica Alba fantasy collection?? It got increasingly creepy, but I'd love to see a goofy commercial like this late at night rather than a real infomercial! Both of them are hilarious - I'd love to make a goofy spoof/"bad" advertisement like these. Late night hosts have all the fun! I really love seeing these kind of clips where the celebs show their sense of humor. John Krasinski was my favorite in the Handsome Men's Club, especially because of his funny facial expressions.
SB, my mom's an obituary reader, too, which I think she got from my grandparents, so I understand!
