I just got done with watching the latest Mob Talk and they keep talking about a major indictment looming over. Apparently it's been looming over since Jesus bitch slapped Larry King. My patience is running out. I'm beginning to think Joe Ligambi will never be indicted and make it to the ripe old age of 97.

Hm. Its a bit of a hard one isnt it? Anastasia's certainly has been talking about for a long time, but we havent seen it yet. But Im going to put my hard earned (theoretical) dollars on Yes...but I may very well be wrong. One would think that if they had what they needed on Uncle Joe it wouldve happened by now, & there doesnt seem to be much in the way of new & chargable offences.

Don't know so refraining from voting...I assume they will get him eventually. Pretty unlikely to go the way of Carlo Gambino, "in a state of grace", in this day...still, could happen I guess.

I hope not. Uncle joe is a old school , under the radar type of guy and I respect him for that.

You know the old saying, the Feds can indict a ham sandwich if they want to. But in a high profile case like this, they won't want to be embarrassed if they indict and lose. So I'll make a safe bet. If they indict him, they'll convict him.

2011's aint out yet...but Id love to know what information keeps Anastasia so certain theres an indictment looming over Uncle Joe. Obviously the Feds aim to eventually try & convict him of being a mob boss, but when Anastasia says "in the near future" does he actually mean like put together & ready or in the next couple of years while they're still digging shit up on him? Its a little frustrating.

Yes, I know, very selfish of me...but Id love to see a massive "Bruno/Scarfo Family Admin." indictment from the Feds, complete with charts, rat testimony & tonnes of picture/video eveidence. Aint I a stinker?

Now that he's had such a long run as boss without being indicted, there's starting to be a lot of people that seem to think it will never come. It may not happen this year, next year, etc. But eventually, Ligambi will be indicted. It's only a matter of time. Just like Manocchio up in New England.

Keep in mind, Joe isn't getting any younger either. The man is in his seventies and could be dead in five years. Then he could retire and get some heat off of him.

It will evenutally come but Anastasia said himself that hes not sure when. He does a mob talk on his own and the last one said that the feds dont want to screw this one up like the Merlino trial. They want Ligambi back in for Murder. Rembember he did 10 years for the Frankie Flowers case but it was overturned. I am not sure they have enought eveidence on informants on the few murders that happened in the last ten years so until they can really get him on something good...I think Joe will be on the streets. But if he remains in philly and the boss...he will evenutally be indicted. Theres only two ways it ends in this world eventually...

I wouldn't bet on it, if they do indict I think it will be some BS racketeering charge centered on gambling, that would get a "civilian" a fine at bezt, but since its a mafia case he will get a few years.

Yeah I was wrong too, but this is not a major indictment. I would be surprised if Ligambi's denied bail on Thursday. He's not on those tapes making threats. Staino is, but he doesn't even have a criminal conviction. It's gonna be an interesting bail hearing.

The funny thing about Ligambi is he appears to be a very likable guy. Frankly, I'd rather have him on the street than any of the other hoodlums in that family. So in a sense, you almost don't wanna see him indicted . Like Jimmy Alo or Joe Arcuri, everybody's secretly rooting for them .
