JAMES has been my favorite all along. He wasn't perfect tonight, but he's already a star.
"Closer To The Edge" not perfect:
S: Kicked that song's ass; J: It's yours to take; R: In it to win it.
"Without You" was moving:
R: Emotionally perfect, yours to lose; S: As beautiful as it gets; J: A true, true artist.
JACOB wasn't terrible, but averaged out last.
"No Air" was a little pitchy:
J: Pick songs you want as direction; R: Corny, sharp, not right song; S: Waiting for niche, great job.
"Love Hurts" was probably his personal best, but emotionless.
S: Kinda got lost, but beautiful thing; J: Brought it home at the end; R: Redeemed yourself.
SCOTTY I like as well, but he wasn't 100% tonight.
"Gone" he rocked, and was a showman for once:
S: Danced with the devil tonight; J: Owned the stage; R: "Concert Scotty", in it to win it.
"Always On My Mind" was sweet, but a bit Zzzz.
J: Can do anything; R: If it ain't broke, love it; S: Beautiful, beautiful.
HALEY was the best, and worst, of the night.
"You And I" wasn't good enough:
J: Some good moments, not sure about song (an unreleased Lady Gaga tune); R: Great singer, but risky; S: One perfect song away.
"House of the Rising Sun" was surprisingly really good:
R: Best performance of the night; S: Sold everybody tonight; J: Great job.
