A lot of actors are shy. In fact, it's a common recurrence among top actors, that they don't particularly seek fame, but find comfort and means of expression through performing arts. De Niro, for instance, is one of these shy guys. And look at what he produces.
Anyway, with only one life, shyness is nothing. Well, you know, it can be excruciating (for me too at times), but it's nothing worthy of any significance in life.
