In Boston for his national tour, Charlie Sheen told radio station 98.5 WBZ-FM that "there's been discussions" about him returning to "Two and a Half Men."

But you may want to take what Sheen says with seven-gram rocks of salt: Sheen told a Philadelphia station three days before he was fired from the show that he expected a deal soon to bring it back from hiatus.

"I was asked not to divulge anything," Sheen told the Boston station Tuesday. "Had they told me at the end of Season 8 that that behavior wasn't going to be cool, I would have adjusted it."

And he drops it in and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 3 of you at a time on board.

Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire to the doctors and nurses and safety.

And, he kept coming back!! 13 more times!! Until all the wounded were out. No one knew until the mission was over that the Captain had been hit 4 times in the legs and left arm.

He took 29 of you and your buddies out that day. Some would not have made it without the Captain and his Huey.

A nice story SC. I never get tired of stories about people who aren't afraid to help others in dangerous situations like this. A hero indeed.

In all the seven pages' worth of talk on Sheen and Men here, has anyone actually mentioned how dreadful the show actually is?

I've not met anyone who thinks the show is funny who isn't also a lunatic.

I think I read about one or two shows that did okay. The media really isn't into reporting positive Sheen stories.

I think they're referring to Sheen's one man show, not his television show.

I'm referring to Capo's last post. that was about "Men".

I read that he enjoys badmouthing his ex wife Denise on stage, even got the crowd to chant "Fuck Denise" a couple of thousand times. It's a little strange since he spoke so well of her on the Howard Stern show not too long ago. But I guess it isn't that strange..considering how sick the man is.

Charlie, what's she done to be the villain? That she's hot, not fucked up, and you lost her?

~I like that old tabloid story that Charlie was too distracted setting gambling bets over the phone while Denise was popping one of the kids out. Duh, winning!

Sad news! MSNBC just reported that one of Charlie's Godesses has called it quits. Rachel apparently sent him a text break-up. How will he go on without her?

It looks as though they are considering Hugh Grant to take over the lead in the show. Who would have thought? I actually think that he'd be good. I have always like his style and dry humor.

A person familiar with the situation said Wednesday the British film actor was in negotiations to join the sitcom as its new leading man. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because producer Warner Bros. and CBS hadn't authorized public comment, said the talks had stalled without resolution.....

I wonder if they'll change the tenor of the show. I don't see Hugh dialoging the way Sheen did.

At this rate they'll do anything to keep the MEN money train rolling without the Warlock.

Ok, I don't have a link to post but the local L.A. radio station (Kearth 101) reported that Hugh Grant was ready to sign a deal for the show but backed out in the end because he wanted more creative say. So, it looks like that's out. Darn, I would have rooted for him.

Anyway, you'll NEVER guess who they are talking to now? Jason Bateman. I don't dislike him, but I just don't see him as a draw to a show that lost it's main star. I think Grant, Stamos or any of the others would be better. Just my opinion.

He wanted more creative say? I say give it to him. Getting this guy could potentially be a brilliant move. I'd hate to see Batemen in there..He's a fine actor, but I really don't think he could fit in there. What about Paul Rudd? I love that guy. Or Jonah Hill .

Just now on MSNBC they speculated that this deal going south COULD be a ploy to see what the response would be. Seems silly, but who knows.

I have no idea what "creative" license he may mean, but another issue might be that Grant is not from the U.S. and I imagine that would be a big factor for him having to go back & forth.

The more I think about it though, he'd be great. I agree with Oli that he certainly wouldn't have the harsh, risque personality as Sheen's character. However, he could easily (and probably perfectly) play the charming but awkward character who lands all the ladies (or not).

Then again on the other hand, why not just start a new series instead of completely re-doing Charlie Harper's character.

I think it would be better to keep the Two And Half Men brand alive. The name is just too big for cancellation. Also, it wasn't just Charlie Sheen's show. Jon Cryer had a lot to do with the show getting as big as it did. And Angus too.

I hope Grant goes for it, but what they shouldn't do is re-do Charlie Harper's character. That would be a terrible mistake. Hugh Grant is such a goofy guy and even though, he can be good with the ladies from time to time, I don't see him landing every chick he sees. Alan would probably be able to compete with Grant .

Ok, they now have a replacement for Charlie Sheen and you'll never guess who (this time). Ashton Kutcher. Can't say I thought of him. I don't like or dislike him, but it might work. He's young and good looking and probably could continue Sheen's role pretty believably. Plus he has a following and may bring a newer/fresher audience to the show. What do you think?
