And as far as Bush being the great spender: if you listen to Rove and other economic righties, Obama has already spent more than all other presidents combined. Not completely true, but I think it's time to stop burying Bush at every turn.
It's not true at all. From 2002 through 2009, the Congress approved over $20 trillion in federal expenditures. Through the two fiscal years for which President Obama has prepared federal budgets, the Congress has approved about $7 trillion.
I think it's to say Obama has proposed more spending over the next four years than the rest of the presidents ever combined.
