I've always had trouble defining the type of band. Though you could easily hear a Pearl Jam/Deftones influence in us. Me and the singer also did a good few acoustic numbers.

A bunch of my friends and I are trying to get a band together. We know what everyone's going to play (I'm doing guitar), but we don't have all of the instruments yet. Heh, I don't think our band is going to work out.

No way Bogey, you've got a vision, you should stick with it. It's how it happened for us and it became some of the best days of our lives. We had a brief local success and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Seriously stick with it if you can.

Yeah, my friend let me borrow his acoustic guitar to learn how to play on. It's missing a string, and its badly out of tune. I think he's going to bring me a string to put on it though, so I dunno. All we have so far for the band is an acoustic guitar for me, and a bass for my friend. I've always wanted to play guitar though, so even if the band doesn't get started, I still want to learn how to play.

I have my kickass drumset in my basement. I've had it for two years and I have gotten quite good. Guitar would be another instrument i want to learn how to play soon.

Bogey, get the missing string, get someone to tune the guitar for you and get a few chords together e.g. E, F, G, A, C, D, and maybe Am and Em. These will allow you to play literally thousands of songs. There are some great internet resources for chords of well known songs. There's a search engine on www.tabrobot.com. Then you just gotta practice. Stick to the acoustic for a while because let's face it anything sounds great on an electric so your mistakes will be more obvious on an acoustic.

Haha, well guys my friend brought me a string to put on it, but it wasn't the right one. But I put it on anyway... and then I broke it trying to get it to go as high as it needs to be. It sucked. I've got a nice little mark on my arm now.

DSC, I've played around with my friend's bass. I'd actually like to learn how to play both the guitar and the bass.

I had a car like this too Blake. It was an '86 Chevy Caprice. Boy did I love that car, I got it almost 3 years ago. Alas, I had to sell the poor baby. With the Godfather horn on it and everything. Damn, that was the best car ever. Good luck with it. If you ask me, Big old Boat cars are the best out there. Also some of the safest.

Hey TIS,

I'm actually done with the studying. I sent applications to four schools - Stanford, Michigan, UCLA, and USC. I think I favor the two Los Angeles schools the most, mainly for location and opportunities in the area of business I wish to pursue. I probably won't hear anything until mid January, so between now and then I just have to cross my fingers. I would be happy with any of those four schools, but staying in Southern California would be great.

Well Gang, I thought I would bore you with my latest stage event. "The Pajama Game" - I was Myron Hasler the boss of the factory. I had to yell a lot and I got to swing the hula-hoop at the office picnic. Nice legs, huh?

That is so cool, MC!! I've seen the movie with Doris Day, but I've never seen it performed on stage. It looks like a lot of fun! Especially that hula hoop part. Btw, I used to be awesome at that. I wonder if I still am.

This is community theatre; four shows, 175-200 per show. This is my 17th year with this group. I've done a few others. Great fun, hard work.

Zia: The hoop was the hardest part of my character. As a kid I could've done it all day. As a grown up I was lucky to get through the 15 seconds.
