I read somewhere today that CBS sat on the incident and didn't report it for 4 or 5 days. Can someone adequately explain the logic behind this? I mean, I could see it if they were ashamed of something SHE did (like in a scandal of some sort). But she was the victim here, so why would they hide this tragedy? I heard one defense that was akin to the "protecting of a rape victim's identity" school of thought. Not that I necessarily disagree with that on a privacy level for Lara's sake, but I just don't buy it (when I consider this was CBS who sat on it).
