It's 16 here. Going down to single digit tonight. Roads will freeze.

If Jesus is coming back this week, he probably won't be showing up around here at least if he's just going to wear a tunic.

Had to clear the ice off of my driveway. Not fun!!!

High was only 24 today here in the High Desert. Low tonite in single digits. Plumbers are gonna get a lot of calls to fix frozen water pipes, for sure.

Great that it's warmer here (for now) in South Jersey than in Arizona and Texas!

Below zero cold and miserable in North Central Illinois. Now we get to "dig out" and try to get life back to normal. Many roads and portions of Interstates are still closed. Locally we got 13.5" of snow here in town and within a 50 mile radius, measurements range from 12" - 20". My daughter can see Lake Shore Drive from her dorm room in Chicago and said it looked like a parking lot yesterday. Thank God that darn ground hog says spring is coming!

What school does she attend?

University of Illinois @ Chicago (UIC) - she is less than a mile from Soldier Field. She loves the big city! Funny thing is that my mother and all her family lived in the Vernon Park neighborhood on Aberdeen Street back in the day. The University was expanding and bought out the real estate that their apartment buliding occupied and tore it down for campus additions. Now my mother's grand daughter goes to school there and dorms close to the old neighborhood. I gotta get to Tufano's, I haven't been there since I was a little kid. Any body know a good time & day to get right in without the big wait?

As I was driving home yesterday, the radio reported the temp at A.C. Airport was 59 degrees! When I got home it was 49. I put on my shorts and went for a short jog around the neighborhood. The wind was a little chilly, but it was nice to run without long tights, gloves and a wool hat. Happy dig-out to the mid-Westerners.

Well, the ice storm tuesday night got the better of me. I was traveling south on Rte 81, which was a skating rink. I got to an exit about 60 miles from home a little after midnight, and ended up spending the night in my car. I was parked behind a couple tractor trailers. I fell asleep listening to the steady beating of the persistent sleet and George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass."

It's in the teens again and the cars are covered with several inches of snow. Apparently, this may continue into next week. Schools are closed again today. getting to the SB is going to be a monumental undertaking. I bet there will be more empty seats than Jerry Jones wants to see.

Were you on the mountain top near Frackville? Isn't that always one of the worse weather spots in PA; fog, rain, wind, snow...and that's in the summer. I was suppose to head up to the Valley this weekend for MIL 86th birthday, but the weather on Saturday doesn't look promising.

Apparently my neighbors from Munchkin Land had never seen snow
(atleast not in south central Texas during February)..

I just got back from the gym. Got there and it was closed. It's funny. The ice of the last few days didn't close the gym, but the 6 or so inches of snow we got overnight did.

Got back from Florida late last night. The weather was perfect, of course. Here in NY it's not as bad as I feared. It's in the 30s, but they are calling for a "wintry mix" tomorrow .

It's snowing cotton balls in North Central Illinois! Just what we need - more snow! Hooray! NOT!

Snow and freezing rain here tonight and tomorrow, just like last week. May last a few days.

Bitter cold in the Bronx today. Practically zero with the wind chill .

Now they say it's going down to 4 tonight with windchills on the minus side. Schools are closed of course.

Just because it's cold, or are the streets bad as well?

Time to break out the Espresso and the Sambuca.

The weather sucks. It sucked in December, it sucked in January, and so far February sucks, too. However, at least it didn't snow this week (knock wood).

I'd rather have a little brandy. That'll help sweat it out. Huh?

Streets are bad. The sun is coming out, will melt the S&I, then it will freeze tonight.

It's been the exact same way up here. Yesterday it briefly got up to 40 and we had a bit of a melt. It went down to 14 overnight and re-froze everything.

And there's some food in the icebox, you hungry or anything?
