In the decision, Vinson writes:

What I find very interesting is that back in 2008 President Obama said he supported a health care reform proposal that did not include an individual mandate. He was so against including an individual mandate for any health care reform proposal that he even went on to say

"If a mandate was the solution, we can try that to solve homelessness by mandating everybody to buy a house."
