Vincent Ciano, a Malden Massachusetts mob associate of Patriarca Street bosss Mark Rossetti’s was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court in connection to the organized crime ring that swept up 31 suspects last month. writes Matt Byrne, boston .com .


Vincent Ciano plead not guilty to charges of conspiracy to distribute marijuana. He was released on personal recognizance, said Harry Pierre, spokesman for Attorney General Martha Coakley, whose office aided in the investigation.

Ciano is due back in court Feb. 10, Pierre said.

The ring, allegedly led by New England organized crime street boss Mark Rossetti, engaged in heroin and marijuana trafficking, gambling, loan sharking, violent home invasion, and extortion, authorities allege. In the past 6 months i have heard rossetti refered to as a capo, acting consigliere and now as the street boss. If anyone accurately knows his position in the family i would appreciate that info. Thanks
