Yesterday I had to make a 250 miles road trip to Altoona, PA for business. I rode with a coworker. We left Williamstown, NJ at 4:15am for a 10am meeting. Made it to Altoona in 4+hours, had breakfast, went to the meeting, left Altoona at 12:30 under a light flurry. The snow was sticking on the road, but driving was ok for the first 80 miles. About 40 miles west of Philadelphia we hit horrendous road conditions; many accidents; roads jammed with cars. We never went faster than 20 mph and that was short bursts. We got back to Williamstown at 8:30 pm - 8 hours. Worst weather related traffic I have EVER been in. The one inch of snow became ice and caught everyone by surprise.
