One of the most despicable things ever uttered was when John Edwards proclaimed, during a Barbara Walters interview I believe...that his wife was, after all, "in remission" when he had the affair w/ that other woman Rielle. Even worse than the statement somehow was his flippant tone, as if he should be cut some slack.
