Season Three's highs are better than the other seasons' highs, even if overall it isn't the best. Season Two is possibly the most consistent.

I think it's telling of the pace of the writing (excellent) that the relationship arcs between Tony and Gloria, Meadow and Noah, and Meadow and Jackie, Jr. all seem to be given ample, sufficient space to develop and yet each only lasts a few episodes.
