I saw Stuart Varney (an economic journalist with Fox News) speak at a business luncheon today. Agree or disagree with his ideals, the man is an excellent speaker. When asked about the future, he said that he expects the recovery will continue, slowly but steadily. By summer 2011, he expects unemployment to be down to about 9%, providing that the basic insolvency of the state of California doesn't cause another panic. People will begin to feel better, more confident, and this will further even more economic progress. This recovery will guarantee President Obama's re-election.





I think Varney is right on. Most Fox commentators simply choose to make political hay from the current state of the economy. (Just listen to Bulls and Bears tomorrow morning). Besides, Varney's british accent makes his analysis seem so plausible
