Far be it from me to agree with Dubya on almost anything, but he's right. I'm now of the opinion that McCain had a fear of winning. I really believe he just didn't want it. Had he picked Romney as his running mate, he might very well be sitting in the White House right now (and he'd be getting criticized just as much as Obama). You can't tell me that his people couldn't have done a better job vetting that lunatic from Alaska.
