Hello there to all members reading this on November 2010. Also, hello there to all members reading this on November 2020. I really think this could be very fun and interesting thread. Since threads are saved anyway, the plan is to use this thread as a time capsule - we'll post our thoughts and then forget about this thread until November 2020, when it will be opened to see how things have changed and whether we were right or wrong with our predictions of the future. Of course, hoping we'll still be alive 10 years from now. And hoping GangsterBB will still be alive. The plan is to say something, anything, about what's going on in your head right now, what are your thoughts at this point in your life, things that bother you or make you happy, what events around the world concern you at this point, talk about politics, sports, movies, anything you want. The second part of the post is your predictions of the world, or your life, in exactly 10 years from now. What will change? What will be lost in 10 years? What new things will enter our lives during the next 10 years? I'll start: ------------- November 2010: Life feels pretty much like it has been the past 10 years. I still have no money, no place to call home, no wife or kids, no car. But I've got my bike, my friends, my CD collection, and my good spirit. Looking at the big picture, I'd say the world feels pretty much the same, too. Sure the internet keeps inventing itself, new cellphones coming out everyday, but all that aside....Obama is losing his power, Palin still dreaming she'll be president, The Giants justified their name in the World Series, and the most hated basketball team in history, Miami HEAT, is having a good start. In November 2020, I think.... the world will still be pretty much the same. Well technology-wise, of course things will be different. Internet speed will be max for everyone, perhaps? oh maybe nanotechonology will be going strong. Politics-wise, I guess Iran will have their nuclear bombs. But I don't think they'll use them as long as Israel still got theirs. Speaking of Israel, I don't think they'll be peace in the middle east, however I think the Palestinians will have their own country 10 years from now. I think the USA will have a female president, not Palin tho. Personally, I hope to be back in Chicago. And of course, the most important thing : the Cubs will win the WS. I suppose we'll have hundreds of 3D movies by the time we reach 2020. I can't think of anything that will leave us....maybe CD's, but my guess is they'll still be around somehow. --------- Anyway, that's my bla-bla. Go on and post yours. It will be so much fun to read it in 2020!!

Right now I'm sitting under the stairs on a desktop that's well on its way to death, though I continue to get the best out of it by blowing into the opening at the back where the fan is every time it cuts out. I just applied for a Masters degree, having returned from a trip to London the other week largely uninspired with regard to previous thoughts about moving there. I'm happy to stay around here for a while, in the north. I love learning, I love life; I miss Aroon, but don't think I'll send her a Christmas card, and I don't think I'll tell Steve after all that we fucked one last time after they got together because I feel like crying for him at the thought of his confusion and outrage upon reading my message, even though I don't particularly care for him and he possibly did it to me. Mick, I love how in-the-moment yours is...the kind that truly would be intriguing to read in ten years. SB, so very true, and something I always try to keep in mind. Fame, a clever idea indeed! Have you ever heard of this site: FutureMe? You can send an email and set a time for it to be emailed to yourself, kind of like this time capsule idea, where you can then read your thoughts much later. I'm kind of impatient, but I tried a few messages that came back about a month later, and I purposely wrote specific stuff about the day that I probably wouldn't have recalled otherwise, and it was fun to see what had happened. I'm gonna have to think a bit about what to post for the 2020 Gina to read, though...

Interesting, Fame! I'll have to give some thought to it as well. Altho, knowing me, come 2020 I'll be pissed off that I never did post again to this thread.
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

live each day as if it's your last. If I did that I'd be dead tomorrow! Funny, I was just about to quote that line as well and say: If I did that, I'd never go to work.

All the 'roses' I'd 'smell' are the property of other men, so to speak. Ah, the attraction to forbidden fruit! That WILL lead to your last day very quickly! Noted blues guitarist and relationship expert Albert King sang: "If you got a good woman you'd better pin her to your side If you got a good woman you'd better chain her to your side Cause if she flag my train brother, I'm bound to let her ride"Wise man, that Mr. King...
"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives." Winter is Coming
Now this is the Law of the Jungleāas old and as true as the sky; And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die. As the creeper that girdles the tree-trunk, the Law runneth forward and back; For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack.
