You are dead on correct Lilo, and Obama needs to learn the GOP wants to take him down in 2012. They won't compromise on jack.
Obama needs to take the gloves off and go after them Harry Truman style. He should veto all the nonsense they send him, and if the DEMS hold the Senate I say whether Reid wins or loses that they give the leadership post to Schumer who knows how to talk to the cameras.
And if the Republican's do get the majority back do you think Obama will compromise? IMHO very doubtful.
