I still have a Fuller Brush broom and brush/dustpan from the 1950's. They work fine, so I kept them after my parents retired to Florida in the 1980's. The broom has black bristles and the rest of it is painted pink!

Back in the early '60s, when we moved to Brooklyn there was a daily milk delivery in our apartment building. We had the usual metal box - actually nearly everybody in the building had one.

Avon is still alive and well; at least here in Tessio territory. As a matter of fact, Signora V. was an Avon lady for a couple of years in the early '90s. I think she was her own best customer! lol I still have boxes of beautiful Christmas decorations, earrings, pins, etc. that she accumulated with the help of the "employee discounts" (the downfall of many an Avon lady, I imagine!).

Signor V.

"For me, there's only my wife..."

"Sure I cook with wine - sometimes I even add it to the food!"

"When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies?"

"It was a grass harp... And we listened."

"Do any human beings ever realize life while they live it? Every, every minute?"

"No. Saints and poets, maybe... they do some."
