One year? Is that how it works in sunny California?

In New York, it used to be four years - at least that was what it was when I was called in 2006. I was called just a couple of months ago (got on a personal injury case but it was settled the very day it was supposed to go to trial) and was told it was now every six years.

I had never stopped to think that laws regarding jury duty would vary so drastically.
