Goombah, what Hamilton's team did to show him their support was really touching. The Hudson Valley Renegades, where Hamilton got his 1st and 2nd chance at the majors, play not too far from us, so he's gotten a lot of local news coverage. This story was in our paper today, and I thought it was a really nice article.

OK, any sentimental goodwill I may have had for Josh Hamilton is GONE.

Why? It's voted on what is done in the regular season. Tonight's performance should have no bearing on the vote.

It shouldn't, but you know it does. Why else would they wait to announce the winners?

The voting has finished already. It's always done before the post-season starts.

Do what I've had to do for several years. Take a back seat to your fanaticism and enjoy good baseball. Don't be hateful. You're being a downer. I'm saying this cause I love ya Bam. No offense intended, seriously.

WOO! Giants win! I know it's a long series and anything can happen, but beating Halladay, the probable Cy Young winner this season, is HUGE to start the series.

Congrats, Blib.

I am REALLY pissed off that my cable carrier and the Fox Network are fighting each other over rates. Fox withdrew its programming from my cable carrier last night. That means no NL Series and possibly no World Series.

From what I saw online (box scores) it looked like a good game tonight.

I heard about that. I was late paying my cable bill, again, and had to call them to get it turned back on before the game tonight. There was a recorded message saying that FOX is demanding 50% more money and DISH Network doesn't want to make us pay more. There's even a website you can go to to support the fight against FOX. Strange stuff.

However the game was still on here, so I don't quite get how it's working.

Even though the series is tied, it seems as though the Yanks are trailing for some reason. I think that the winner of game three will be the HEAVY favorite to win this series.

Should be a VERY interesting game considering Lee is pitching and they're playing at the Stadium.

My brother has a ticket for me if I want it. He's a big Yankees fan. I'm indifferent towards them. I'll make up my mind tonight smile.

Nope. Went to Game 2, which was better for me. Cain was outstanding today. I think this baby's going 7 games, Blib. The Phillies need a good outing from Blanton. He hasn't pitched since September, but he's okay if he can get through the first and second innings.

I was curious if Blanton was going to pitch now that the Phillies are down 2-1 in the series. Should be an interesting game tomorrow. Bumgarner hasn't shown any signs of getting tired and has pitched well under pressure. My guess though is that it will end up being a bullpen game on both sides.

I'm just happy the Giants are putting up a fight. Nobody expects them to win, so they might as well go out tough if that's the outcome.
