I like Mrs. Franklin a lot but someone should tell her that Halle Berry might not be the best choice to play her.
People idealize their younger selves but Aretha was NEVER skinny , even back in the sixties, and weight issues aside Halle looks absolutely NOTHING like Aretha. There would be no chance for suspension of belief. A much better choice would be Jennifer Hudson, who now that she's slimmed down somewhat , could indeed play a pre 1975 Aretha.
