Toodoped: Word. Few days ago, over here, they caught one teenager with a gun and more than 60 bullets, while going to school. I wonder what was his plan ?!

Sunday, August 29, 2010 - Posted by Kenny Davidson Speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, Steven Moffat has announced that the next series of Doctor Who will be split in two with a 'gamechanging' cliffhanger in episode 7.
"The split series is hugely exciting because viewers will be treated to two premieres, two finales and more event episodes. For the kids it will never be more than a few months to the next Doctor Who! Easter, Autumn, Christmas!!"
The BBC press office describe the split transmission as the result of a request from Steven Moffat to write a new Doctor Who story arc which involves a big plot twist in the middle of the series. "By splitting the series Moffat plans to give viewers one of the most exciting Doctor Who cliffhangers and plot twists ever, leaving them waiting, on the edge of their seats, until the autumn to find out what happens."
I saw bits/pieces of Douglas on Leno and wanted to see the show. Thanks for posting RR.
Although I haven't seen all of his movies, Michael Douglas is one of my favorite actors, and for some reason hearing this news makes me a little "extra" sad and sorry for him.
Stage 4 is so serious and yet he says 80 per cent chance of recovery. I sure hope so. It seems everyone starts out fighting it (rightfully so) and end up losing (Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, and I even remember way back another of my favorites, Michael Landon, with such a positive fighting attitude) and all lost. Poor guy has a lot to go thru yet with all the chemo/radiation. I wish him the best and pray for a full recovery.
Gosh, I was a fan way way back when he was in Streets of San Francisco with Karl Malden AND I am looking forward to actually going to the theater to see Wall Street, Money Never Sleeps, this month when it comes out.

Does anyone remember when he and Brenda Vaccaro were a hot item??? I think they were engaged at one time.

i heard that what landon and swayze had was the fast advance cancer, so that made that cancer more difficult to defeat. i remember the denver nuggets head coach had throat cancer (have no idea what stage his was) and the treatment worked.

Landon & Swayze both had pancreatic cancer, which, I hear is one of the most painful and quickest to spread.
All the years and years of research and some accomplishments, but no real cure yet for most of the cancers.

Bogie died a slow, horrible death, Ronnie. That was over 50 years ago, so hopefully the treatment will be a little easier now. But you never know with cancer, it's such a horrible fucking disease .

This is the 1991 clip of Michael Landon who appeared on Johnny Carson's show right after it became public that he had cancer. He had a great sense of humor.
Landon had the media at his home and I'll never forget how he ended the question/answer session saying, "Live every minute guys." I only regret the quality of this video isn't good. If anyone can find a better one of this tv clip, feel free to post.
Anyway, like Douglas, both very brave. I really don't remember how long after this airing he died.

Landon died seven weeks after this show aired.
Really? Is that all? Wow. I remember it being very quick but damn, you look at him in the video, even knowing he is very sick, he sure looked like he had more than seven weeks.

Cammie King Conlon, who played Bonnie Blue Butler in "Gone With the Wind," died of cancer at age 76. The actress, who was cast at age 4 with these Hollywood legends, said her memories of making the Civil War saga were more like "snapshots."
GWTW was The Godfather of its time. I never miss a chance to watch it.

At only 4 years old I can imagine how sketchy (at best) her memory must be. Yet,how neat it must be to have been in what some think is the best film of all time though.

Ahh, here's Tony Orlando's "Knock Three Times"... a telethon staple in the NY area since I was a kid. TO has co-hosted the MDA telethon here for quite a few years...
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol

You can't help but feel that the Chinese are a subspecies."
