Tokyo Game Show is on the horizon. The land of the rising sun’s largest video game trade show plays host to the hottest upcoming games, and even some games that aren’t yet announced will likely make their debut at the show which starts September 16. There is at least one new game from Sony Japan that will likely be demonstrated at TGS, but if the timer on the teaser site is to be believed, we won’t have to wait until TGS for the first details.

A teaser countdown site – something that the video game industry seems to absolutely love – has appeared on the official SCEJ website for a new game titled, Amimono. The site features an ominous looking character who slightly resembles The Godfather, Vito Corleone. Though, unlike Mr. Corleone, this “mobster” seemed to have an obsession with knitting. Amimono is the Japanese word for knitting and as you can plainly see in the picture the character is sitting in a chair knitting next to a rather large bowl of yarn.

Definitely strange stuff, but all the more intriguing.

The timer is set to go off in 5 and a half days as of the time of this writing and you can be sure that we’ll update you as soon as that countdown clock makes its last tick.

Could it be??
