Does anyone know what the relationship is between Eric Roberts and Julia Roberts? I always understood that they are estranged or at least not very close. Did one help the other get into show business?
Supposedly, Eric got Julia into acting and couldn't handle his little sister's "instant success" after "Pretty Woman," being that he struggled for years and came nowhere close to achieving her success. In short, he resented her.
Then, Eric developed a HUGE cocaine problem, futher distancing the two siblings. Now, Eric's daughter is acting and she's very close to her Aunt Julia, so Eric and Julia have bonded over her in recent years. Things are now much better between the two, but there was a point where they didn't speak for like ten years.
