Ouch. I work part time in the radio business and I can tell you that this is a BIG "Uh-Oh". Depending on the markets and the stations involved, I can tell you that some affiliates will drop her syndicated program. "Slipping" on the air is not good. If/when you do, the phones start ringing immediately at the station. After the program directors and managers say their fiftieth apology to offended listener(s), you better pack your bags. Radio on air talent is a dime a dozen industry. That's why it doesn't pay well until you ascend to the ranks of Dr. Laura, et all. However, she is very popular and might get a small slap on her boney wrist after she publicly apologizes. Personally, I despise that word and can't think of any filthier derogatory term. It should never be uttered from one's lips no matter what context. She should be ashamed.
