First of all, he was never tried in Holloway's death. Even if it had happened in the US, double jeopardy wouldn't apply because he was arrested and then the charges were dropped.

Thank goodness he fled to Chile and not Argentina, as was feared. Argentina does not extradite criminals, as the Nazis knew. There were enough former Nazis hiding out in Argentina that they could have changed the capital's name from Buenos Aires to Berlin.
