In my opinion, there ARE certain places that I would not be so casual, and court is one of them. I don't know about any other state, but here in California (at least SoCal) there is a dress code, as anyone who has been called to jury duty would know. While it's not a real strict dress code, you are told not to wear certain things (i.e. beach clothes, flip flops) I'm guessing, but don't remember for certain, that clothing with inappropriate language is one no-no. You can wear jeans (if they are not torn/ripped)and be casual. The rules are not over reaching by any means, you just need to use good judgment. ohwell
