There was this kid I grew up with -- he was younger than me. Sorta looked up to me -- you know. We built our first PCs together -- worked our way out of the garage. Things were good, we made the most of it. During the Dot.Com boom -- we ran PCs into Canada -- made a fortune. As much as anyone, I loved him -- and trusted him. Later on he had an idea -- to build a search engine out of a research project at Stanford. That kid's name was Larry Page -- and the search engine he invented was Google.
Now he's a billionaire. When I heard it, I wasn't angry; I knew Larry -- I knew he was head-strong, smart, experimenting. So when he started Google without me -- I let it go. And I said to myself, this is the business we've chosen -- I didn't ask why didn’t you include me Larry -- because it had nothing to do with business!
