Joe Massino wanted to change it to the "Massino Family" after all the B.S. that happened under the name Bonanno like Donnie Brasco,etc.
Thank God that didnt happen as he was a killer but a snitch just like Sammy Gravano.
I believe if the Bonanno family would have gotten Joe Pistone "Made" that it would no longer be called the Bonanno Family?
In my Opionion the next Boss to hold that family together in true LCN fashion for a period of time should propose the name change.?
