A representative democracy is the method through which we implement our constituional republic as designed by the Founding Fathers and ratified by the conventions in the thirteen states that existed at the time. Members of Congress are elected from 435 geographical districts and 2 Senators from each state. The voters in those districts and states decide on who will represent them. That's how it's set up and it works quite well. We seem to have Board members who dwell in ignorance about our Nation's constitutional processes. They seem to want those constitutional processes reduced to a function of opinion polls the results with which they agree. How inane.
