Oh, puh-leeze. How is this even still being discussed? The tanning bed tax was passed by an overwhelmingly white and male Congress and Senate before it went to the President for his signature. You do all know how a bill becomes a law, right??

The spirit of the tax is to discourage the use of tanning beds because they have been linked to skin cancer. It's the same spirit as the high taxes on cigarettes. My legislature passed a local law that limits the use of tanning beds by teenagers, and it's been endorsed by dermatologists and oncologists.
