I enjoyed that PB. I don't recall that show, but it didn't look like Ed Sullivan.
Love the Supremes too. All dressed up to the max with matching gowns and teased up hair. Remember those days? Temptations would always dress flashy too. Loved Motown too
Anyway, I always liked BD, and he was very smooth. What a shame he died so young. My favorites Beyond The Sea and Mac The Knife. He did have a Sinatra type cool didn't he?

I remember seeing the Lennon video on tv at the time. Always did wonder how Lennon remembered all the "non" everyday lyrics (in between Give Peace A Chance lyric)having to say them at such a rapid pace.

Actually, the group's lineup has changed a bit since that video was shot. Alec (second from right, on guitar) has left The Meetles. And, sadly, Thom (far left on guitar) passed away unexpectedly just before Halloween. There are some great new musicians currently playing with the group. We're up to around ten now!

I saw them again last year for Mardi Gras when they performed at a restaurant near my school, and now I'm finding out about some local places that have live zydeco every week, so I really want to check them out!

I really like "Sugar Bee" by Cleveland Crochet , which is really just rock-and roll and "Eh Petite Fille" by Clifton Chenier.
You can't go wrong with the old school Zydeco and Cajun. These two releases are a good place to start. The second one showcases more links to New Orleans secondline jazz and blues. Ultimately all music is related.. Alligator Stomp
