The trains sometimes could not make the grade after Newkirk Avenue. I'd have to take the MacDonald Avenue train.
Ugh...Don't remind me.
I remember a big storm here over ten years ago (?) when I had to take that train and then walk down Kings Highway to near Ocean Ave. (where I live) loaded down with around twenty pounds of equipment because the buses weren't running due to all the snow. And these days, I'm a lot older and quite a bit slower.
