I spoke with my family in Grand Rapids(via e-mail) and they said they have not gotten hit as hard as the East Coast (at least not yet.)

Yeah, I'm really not looking for any snow either. Grand Rapids is on the west side of the state. It's about 2.5 hrs away from me. This morning the news said that the western side of the state would get more snow-maybe as much as 8-10".
