I was able to clear just about everything this time in one shot -- it's a lot lighter than last time. Of course, 98% done, my neighbor comes over with his snowblower lol Every little bit helps, tho!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

I never want it to snow again. My back is hurting now. My dog Sampson in my back yard. Mig, lift with your legs, not your back. That was an old Telephone Co. mantra. Snow, snow go away....for good. Nice pic of Sampson in the Snow.

All I know my back can't take much more snow. Yea Mig, why not have your son or hubby do the shoveling? Especially with a bad back, that can't be helping. This of course coming from a California girl who says this is a "man's job." TIS

Lilo, I spoke with my family in Grand Rapids(via e-mail) and they said they have not gotten hit as hard as the East Coast (at least not yet.) TIS

Lilo, I spoke with my family in Grand Rapids(via e-mail) and they said they have not gotten hit as hard as the East Coast (at least not yet.) TIS Yeah, I'm really not looking for any snow either. Grand Rapids is on the west side of the state. It's about 2.5 hrs away from me. This morning the news said that the western side of the state would get more snow-maybe as much as 8-10".

Mig, if you enjoy shoveling, that is one thing, but you shouldn't complain about it.

Here in Tessio Territory (aka The Wilds of Brooklyn) it's calm now, but we're being readied for a possible/probable snow dumping Tuesday night into Wednesday. We dodged the snow bullet the other day, but local TV meteorological prophets of doom are more pessimistic this time around. So tonight or early tomorrow I'll probably go to the local grocery stores and stock up on essentials for myself and the cat. I already have some essentials in the cupboard that I bought in preparation for the storm that missed us, so I'm partially prepared at this point. Since I'm only teaching one day a week (Mondays) at a local college this semester, I can stay indoors - but this Wednesday I have to travel into Manhattan to teach a special morning workshop for a bunch of out-of-state high school students. So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I can travel by subway (above-ground in Brooklyn) on Wednesday morning. Signor V.

So I'll be keeping my fingers crossed and hoping I can travel by subway (above-ground in Brooklyn) on Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning won't be a problem for ya, SV. The accumulating snow won't start to pile up until after the morning rush. Depending on what time you come home might be a factor. I remember worrying about getting home on days when we had heavy snow (when I lived in Brooklyn). The trains sometimes could not make the grade after Newkirk Avenue. I'd have to take the MacDonald Avenue train.

The trains sometimes could not make the grade after Newkirk Avenue. I'd have to take the MacDonald Avenue train. Ugh...Don't remind me. I remember a big storm here over ten years ago (?) when I had to take that train and then walk down Kings Highway to near Ocean Ave. (where I live) loaded down with around twenty pounds of equipment because the buses weren't running due to all the snow. And these days, I'm a lot older and quite a bit slower. Signor V.
