I'm super-late, but we watched most of Conan's last show live, then caught the rest from our DVR the next day - I really liked what you've quoted here, BL. For such a goofball, those were really sincere and admirable closing words. Even being a night owl and knowing I liked his kind of entertainment, I didn't watch his show (I always forget late-night TV!), which I quite regret now.
