You know I never heard of Gumby until I moved to California. Years ago I asked my sister if she heard of Gumby and she had no idea either. Is it possible he/it didn't play in Michigan? At any rate, I never watched it, but I think my kids occasionally did. Why, I missed all the fun.

it was shown in illinois, but i don't remember what channel it usually would be on...i believe pbs, but idk.
