Possibly. There have been many cases where an actor or actress happens to win an Academy Award for the performance of a lifetime and then never quite lives up to that standard in their post-Oscar work.

But that remains to be seen. And in the case of people like Brody this may have been his one & only chance for an Oscar and he did deserve it. So I don't think we (or he) should lament just yet that winning may have been a 'bad' thing.
