My Dad had some adorable names for me and my brother. There was "hey dummy", "putz," and his favorite, "go change the channel," in the days before remote control.
But was there another channel to change to in the days before remote control?
Ok, that was a silly question on my part. I just read a bit about it, and seems like the first remote control for TV was developed in 1950.
Pizzaboy (or anyone else who remembers) - how many channels actually existed in the states before 1950 then? you remember which ones?
i am guessing 3 channels...now a days there 400 channels, and nothing good to watch.
