I enjoyed reading about Genco in the novel and I wish he would have been in more of Part II. I also loved the deleted scene with him. Does anyone know anything more about Genco?

I liked the deleted scene with Genco. I think it explained the relationship with him and Vito better then the version of the movie without it. Unfortunately, besides the scenes with the young Genco in GF2 and the novel I'm not sure of any other sources of info on him.

I think if they make a GF4 they should include more of Genco.Tom was always being compared to Genco, but in part 2 he really didnt seem all that smart. But they have the potential to really screw up the character(as with every other character if FFc isnt directing or if terible people are cast).

In the book there is an amazing passage about Gencos death and this was one scene i'd heard about that was deleted from the Godfather. So I remember really waiting in anticipation for the DVD collection to come out with all the bonus footage. To tell the truth it was quite a dissapointment. But I do understand what you mean. Maybe there should have been more of Genco in Part II. Saldy there was already time constraints so this obviously wasn't possible.
